I just have to share....

Yesterday we had Ward Conference and the Stake President was speaking in our sacrament meeting and he was saying how many missionaries we have serving in our ward.  Then he looked at my Son and said Brother Peterson we have been informed that your mission call is in the mail and you should be receiving it this week. Then he gave my son a thumbs up and The Stake President looked at me and said now I see that your mother is going to cry.....of course I started crying and haven't stopped. I looked up at my husband who was sitting on the stand and he was also in tears.  What a day!  Jordan was  asked to share his testimony in combined YW YM and of course I had to go listen......After I listening to him share his testimony I felt the Holy Ghost letting me know that  my son is ready to go and serve a mission for our Heavenly Father for 2 years....Wednesday can't come fast enough!

Jordan's Wisdom Teeth Pulled....

Yesterday Jordan had his wisdom teeth pulled.  He is doing really good.  He is starting to look like a little chipmunk....hahahaha.  He won't let me post a picture or even take a picture.  One more thing checked off our "to do list' before he goes on his mission.

Serving my Church Service Mission

I have been serving a Church Service Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 7 months.  I have been serving in the Family History Support department helping Patrons from all over the world with the familysearch.org website.  Serving this mission has been a blessing in my life and my families lives.
Today I received a phone call from one of my trainers.  She asked me if I would be willing to accept a call to be a Mission Leader Assistant for 4 weeks and then be a Mission Leader for our Group.  Of course I accepted the call.  I am really nervous, and I have realized this is really going to take me out of my comfort zone. Through the years I have learned that when we start to feel comfortable the Lord will ask us to learn more.  I am looking forward to learning more and being able to have the opportunity to continue to serve my Heavenly Father.  I know that I will be able to do this calling with the Lords help.  I am so blessed to have the love and support from my husband and my children as I continue to serve my mission.  Serving this mission has really helped me to realize what is really important in life.  I pray that I will be able to continue to serve the Lord in this great work.
